*Stag Creek Palermo

*Stag Creek Palermo is our first colt from our Straight purebred Curly stallion, Zydeco, and a possibly homozygous for curl mare - *Constance. We were hoping to use this breeding as a means of learning more about the crossing of Straights on Curlies thougth to be homozygous, and we really love the results we got with this colt! One of the interesting things about *Palermo, is that his coat so far indicates that he may have been born with a summer coat. Time will tell, and it will be fun to watch the development of his curls as he grows and through his first year or two. Other than that, all color and curl aside - I love this boy!!! He is so super friendly, loves to love on me, and pulls on the tail of my shirt if I am giving too many hugs to *Cholla Wren! He is quiet and loves to have his feet picked up and kisses planted right on the end of his pink nose (and yes, it really is as soft as it looks), and he likes to entertain with some "wild horse" moves (could it be his ancestor's heritage coming out), and he comes on the double to meet me when I go in the field. *Palermo is a special boy and we are so glad we get to have this amazing boy here on our farm.
